I will pick up my niece in Togo and will travel with her to Benin, South Africa (capeTown), Botswana, Tanzenia, Zanzibar & Egypt in December 2010, next year. I need guidance with flights, things to see, how much time to spend at each location, where to stay. I have a decent budget but not 1st class over the top. Can anyone give some guidance? Thanks Edwardp

Hi Edward,
This sounds like a huge trip that involves a lot of planning! I think we will need more information from you to be able to give any decent advice.
At this early stage in your planning I would recommend to use the following sites and resources to do more research on your trip:
http://www.lonelyplanet.com – tons of information about every country
http://www.gapadventures.com – maybe they can help you set up an itinerary?
http://www.fly.com – easy way to find the cheapest flights (though, you won’t find the smaller African airlines there)
You should also buy some guidebooks, like Lonely Planet or Rough Guides, for Africa to find out more about the different destinations.
Good luck with planning your trip! And come back to share your experiences and ideas with us.
Maybe other readers have some good tips or suggestions for you??
