The Africa Adventure is Closer to Reality

View over Cape Town and Lions Head from Table Mountain
Approximately six months ago my girlfriend, Eleyce, asked me what I thought about going back to Cape Town, South Africa, for grad school. This was exactly one year after we left Cape Town last time, and we both felt more than ready to return to our favorite city. So, not surprisingly, I immediately said yes to her suggestion and soon after we applied for our masters programs at the University of Cape Town. And last week I got the message I had been waiting for: I am accepted for admission at School of Economics, UCT. Eleyce was already accepted for the masters program in International Relations, so we could finally start planning our next step in life!
Our acceptance means that right now our Africa Aventure #II is finally very close to become reality. We are both in the process of applying for loans, Visa, insurance, etc. And according to our plans we will find ourselves sitting in a nice apartment in Cape Town’s City Bowl one beautiful African summer day in January, 2010! I will keep you updated on how our travel / moving plans are developing.
If you have any advice for us, if you know of a great apartment that will be available, or if you just want to say something nice; please leave a message in the comment field below!
Thanks,
Hakon
