Ras Mohammed National Park is located in Egypt; to be more precise the national park is situated on the extreme south of Sinai Peninsula. On the west of Ras Mohammed, there’s Gulf of Suez and on its east, there’s Gulf of Aqaba. During the time when Egypt got back Sinai Peninsula, actions like fishing and other similar human activities got prohibited in this national park. In the year 1983, the area was declared as marine reserve that was meant for protecting both terrestrial and marine wildlife. Ras Mohammed is located in a territory of Red Sea Riviera that houses the biggest share of the tourist population coming to this part of the world. It is situated 12Km away from the actual city area. The national park covers 480 km², out of which 135 km² is land and 345 km² is water. Ras Mohammed houses a tiny bay inlet called Marsa Bareika. The other bay inlet of the region is known as Marsa Ghozlani; it is situated adjacent to the visitors’ center of the park. Two islands namely Sanafir and Tiran are encompassed by this national park.

This region boasts a remarkably dry climate; sparse rainfall occurs only during winter months. The best time of visiting this place is winter as during the summer months the temperature becomes extremely high.
