Lying one the western coast of Morocco,  Essaouira is a very laid back and peaceful place.  The huge walls  and tradition scenario do not allow for much traffic. There are many cafes that let you lay back and just lounge and enjoy your drinks and cocktails  the atmosphere is amazing with the architecture that is very influenced with its culture. The whole of Essaouira is not that big ,which means that you can also walk everywhere.  This is a perfect place if you want to relax and enjoy your tour unwinding  especially towards the end.

The beaches here are beautiful , they have white grainy sands. The beaches and nice and windy. And it is almost the perfect weather for windsurfing.  If you just want to lie around in the sun then that is good too. This town is famous for its GNAOUA world music festival. International artists from  all over the globe come here to showcase their talent and collaborate their music an amazing blend of international and foreign music.

The Medina that is here consists of many gates or babs.  The zerkouni bab is famous for its two distinct restaurants.

One of them is known for its specialty pizzas and the other is famous for its amazing breakfast menu. whats best it is you good old American food as well. The dishes available are of different cuisines and the continental food menu is also quite diverse.

There are also different kind of babs available. Some sell good food and drinks. Other sell souvenirs as well.

The colorful town of Essaouira is a port  that is extremely close to  the best beaches in morocco. This beautiful place goes on curling for miles toward the south. If you are visiting morocco and you feel like you need an out, then pack your bags and head out to this place for some r and r in the good old Moroccan style.  The city is mostly fortified and was designed  for the sultan sidi mohammed in the eighteenth century. the design was made by  by a famous French architect. . this is now the central Medina. This place is busy with narrow lanes  which are filled with shops and artisan booths. And many hand crafted products are sold at various stalls. . this place also has awesome restaurants and friendly cafes in the region. The feeling you get here is as though you are visiting  a small town  with a warm and peaceful neighborhood , this place has always been quite mysterious.

It has somehow managed to keep the whole scenario of exotic windsurfing  and sport surfing destination.

Tourism is known to have been flourishing in this region. Because of all its beautiful beaches and splendid fauna, but recently there have been strong transatlantic winds that have been putting a strain on the tourism industry.

While your visit to this otherwise amazing place, you should make it a point to come to the simple , serene and stylish famous villa of Maroc. There are blue painted balconies have plush hotel suites , all twenty two of them. Blue shutters to the hotel windows all these facing a lovely open courtyard . Here beautiful flowers like bougainvilleas and jasmines are stylishly planted and on a fine display of local horticulture.  You will find old fashioned antique canopied beds and fire places both designed in the same cement and old fashioned carvings elegantly made to look exquisite.

Once you wake up , get done with your morning doings and head over to the amazing terrace roof. The local market have an array of aromatic spices which make for a mouth watering dinner in this place.  The whole setup is extra ordinary with soft ambient lights and and wrought iron chandeliers.
